This model is assembled from eight collapsed masu boxes which are joined together in a ring. The result is not only a lovely decoration but also a fascinating action toy. The star shape can be rolled inward or outward to form other shapes and then to reveal the reverse side of the star, which is different in appearance from the front side. Continuing the rolling motion will eventually bring the model back to the front side of the star.

The action aspect of this model works best if the paper used is a bit stiffer than the usual origami paper and also strong enough so that it will not break through at the creases due to the repeated stress put on the paper by rolling the star shape through it's various transformations. I have found TANT paper to be a good choice for this model.
